The Diep Lab at University of California, San Francisco is recruiting 2 postdoctoral fellows for several research projects to determine mechanisms by which Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa cause invasive infections and to develop immunotherapeutics and vaccine for disease prevention and treatment.  These studies will use cutting-edge molecular biology and immunology tools as well as rabbit models of pneumonia, endocarditis, and prosthetic joint infection.  The postdocs will frequently work 60+ hours per week, as well as nights and weekends, due to the nature of working with a highly regulated animal species.  The postdoc candidates should have strong background in molecular biology and immunology, and not more than 3 years after obtaining his/her PhD.  For those interested in applying for this position, please email C.V. and pdfs of publications to binh.diep@ucsf.edu.
